About landscape evolution
landscape:evolution is a design led practice dedicated to creating the highest quality gardens for residential and corporate clients.
Simply put, landscape:evolution design and build exciting gardens. We offer a personal and professional service from concept to conclusion. We will not impose design on either you or your garden – we evolve your space to create a practical and usable garden that will give you lasting pleasure at a price you can afford.
We do not have set designs and squeeze or expand templates to fit your space. Each design is thoroughly bespoke and will be unique to the client and will add value to your home.
A complete landscaping solution
Landscape:evolution is a new, dynamic company based in Cambridge. It was created by Ian Farbon to offer a complete 'one-stop-shop' to residential and commercial clients alike.
We pride ourselves in our attention to detail. We design and build gardens that sit comfortably in the real world, taking the clients needs, developing the concept and creating a space that fulfills totally the agreed brief. Our landscapers take the design and construct to our exacting standards and the project is overseen by one project manager throughout.
The customer needs to know that we can take an idea or brief, work within the constraints of site, style, location and budget and produce stunning results – every time. We can design all types of gardens and exterior spaces – large, small, traditional, and contemporary – we are happy to explore any idea you have or we can inspire you with our own imaginative style. We look, we listen, we create.

Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture
After 25 years in farming Ian decided that his passion for art and design was unrequited and retrained as a Garden Designer at Capel Manor College in Enfield. During his studies he was College finalist in the Society of Garden Designers Student of the Year awards. From there he went on to study towards a Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture at the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, where he honed his drawing and design skills further and learnt how to look at the larger landscape.
His practical background allows the business to 'keep its feet on the ground'
